Aderans Germany GmbH is part of the worldwide operating Japanese Aderans Group, headquartered in Tokyo. Aderans is the global market leader in hair replacement and always strives to integrate the latest technologies, materials and innovations in its product portfolio as well as in its manufacturing process. Thereby the company is always focused on the well-being of their customers and employees. The motto “Fill the globe with smiles” is taken to heart by the Aderans employees to provide the right solution for every hair issue. Aderans Germany is acting as a supplier for retailers across Germany and specific countries in Europe. In the home market the company owns 18 studios in the most important cities and runs an onlineshop.
History
The company was founded in January 1966 by Mr. Michel Bérard under the name Camaflex Vertriebs GmbH. At that time, Mr. Bérard was already operating in France and sold hair curlers, which were very popular at this time. The business model changed from selling hair accessories to hair replacements, beginning with single hairpieces and manufacturing wigs later on. Especially in the ‘70s many women wore hairpieces, often made from their own hair. The sale of wigs made of synthetic fibre started 1969.
After it became clear that the company in Germany could no longer be managed from France, the German company headquarters was moved to Cologne to gain better access to the German market. After a few more changes the company finally settled in Troisdorf near Cologne, where the company is based since 2013.
During the time in Cologne the company became part of the Aderans Group in 1992. Together with other sister companies, they form the Europe Group under Aderans Europe B. V.
Thereupon the patented Cyberhair® fibre was introduced in Germany. The characteristic of this synthetic fibre is the reproduced cuticle that provides the ability to absorb water. Later the similar VHair was also presented to the German market.
In 1997, Camaflex Vertriebs GmbH strengthened its position as a professional supplier with the acquisition of WWB from Nuremberg. It gave the company the opportunity of selling wigs under the brand name “Revlon”, which is well known from the cosmetics sector. From there on the wholesale department operated under the name “Monfair Moden Vertriebs GmbH” as a subsidiary of Camaflex Vertriebs GmbH. In 2009 these two companies were merged into one company under the name Camaflex Vertriebs GmbH and in 2014, the company was renamed Aderans Germany GmbH to underline the relation with the Aderans Group.
Over the years the focus of the company slowly changed. Even though it is all about products for hair replacements. Today Aderans Germany offers a wide range of wigs made from synthetic fibre and human hair completed by an increasing number of hair systems.
